Do You Have These Bad Habits in Your Relationship?

Possibly not everybody has bad habits but surely the bulk of individuals have some sort of bad habit. The situation is when somebody brings their bad habits into a relationship that causes problems or conflicts. Regardless that they have got good intentions for making the relationship work, on occasion the bad habits are so ingrained that it stops them from relating. Below are a few of the many bad habits in a relationship that can cause it to fail.

Suspicion

Jealousy can regularly plague many fine relationships. Here we aren’t talking about when someone feels jealousy because they have got every basis to judge that their partner is cheating on them. The bad habit of suspicion within a relationship is when, for example, a boyfriend might at all times believe that his girlfriend is fooling around with other men. A woman may believe that her husband is consistently on the look out for another female to take her space. In either case, the jealous person has a bad habit as they are just leaping to conclusions without any grounds to deduce that their partner is contemplating or in reality having an affair.

Not Really Listening

Not listening, or selective hearing as it is termed, is another bad habit that will become a problem in relationships. Some people don’t be aware of their partners needs as they purely do not listen. One person might be attempting to explain something that is essential to them, and the other will merely say, “Yes, yes,” but they won’t actually hear.

When the partner with the selective hearing bad habit hears something that interests them, suddenly they’re all ears and very much a part of the discussion. Clearly this causes a lot of antagonism and can rapidly erode a relationship.

Dependence

Some people who are in lengthy relationships can exploit the bad habit of relying on their partner for everything. This reliance on the other person could cause them to become incapable to take care of themselves. Often they will not take any interest with their job because they believe it does not matter so much as they will be taken care of by their partner. This type of bad habit in a relationship is especially damaging because it might take over every aspect of their lives.

Fighting and Disagreeing

Little fights and quarrels are one thing but it really is how they are performed that makes a distinction. Nearly all healthy relationships can have their ups and downs and also disagreements. When they become a bad habit is after they end up with one person screaming at another at the top of their lungs.

On other occasions, someone could start off throwing things all over or another could mention previous quarrels that were dead and buried, just to hurt the other person. They are all bad habits as they aren’t constructive forms of discussing or disagreeing about an issue.

Harassing

Harassing is another bad habit that can creep into relationships. Often nagging is portrayed as bad habits of women but men do it too. At times, both spouses nag each other which will make a terribly unhealthy relationship.

Blaming

Blaming is a bad habit that, if it goes on very long, can further erode a relationship. When one person is taking all of the blame, that may destroy the individual’s self respect. The individual being blamed will not like to be involved with someone who will not accept responsibility. Further times, both spouses can blame each other always and the outcome between them is usually to disconnect. Either way, the union can break-up if nothing is done to resolve the bad habit.

Therefore, if you are looking to have a very healthy relationship, you’ll want to purge yourself of your bad habits. To begin with you’ve to identify and accept you have bad habits and appreciate the way it is affecting your relationship. Exactly the same holds true for your partner if they’re the ones with the bad habits. You mutually have to understand what it is that you both need for your relationship to be a happy one that will continue to become stronger the longer you are together.
